Manta Ray Diving Guanacaste | Manta Ray Season Has Arrived!
Starting mid-November, the magnificent manta rays return to Guanacaste’s waters! These gentle giants can have a wingspan up to 7 meters and are famous for their graceful acrobatics in the water. As filter feeders, they glide with their mouths open to eat plankton, making them completely harmless to humans and an incredible sight to behold. This is your chance to experience an unforgettable underwater encounter with one of the ocean’s most majestic creatures. Manta season is the headline event, but it’s just one piece of the diving calendar here — for the full picture, see our month-by-month guide to the best time to dive Costa Rica.
