This stretch of Pacific coastline sits inside one of Central America's most seriously protected marine corridors — Santa Rosa National Park has been a protected reserve since 1971, and the conservation work happening in these waters, from manta ray tagging to reef monitoring, is real and ongoing. The marine life here is thriving because people have been fighting to protect it for decades.
