The PADI Open Water program is the most common and entry-level diving Certification, the course lasts 3 days, the first in a pool where you will learn how to use the equipment and the first skills necessary to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60ft. The following days will consist of 4 dives, 2 per day. All of the skills learned in the pool will be put into practice and we will discover the wonders found in the waters that surround the Catalinas Islands safely and practically. Upon completion of the program, the student will receive their PADI Open Water diving Certification. Transportation to/from your accommodation is available at an additional cost.

Additionally, if you are joining us on any of our dive trips for sharks we highly suggest it due to the depths we will be at. This is one of the most common and widely used PADI Specialties available. This Specialty only has practical skills that need performed along with the required e-learning. No dives are included with this Specialty.

We are the first and only dive operation within Costa Rica to provide this PADI Specialty. This course consists of one pool session and 2 open-water dives at different dive sites. (This can also be offered as a non-certification course that takes place solely in a pool setting for a lower rate of $265.00.) This course is vital to any serious diver or first responder around water related emergencies.
