We understand that plans and unforseen issues arrise that would require a cancellation of your reservation. We ask that you notify us in writing as soon as possible should you need to cancel. Your reservation will be cancelled upon written confirmation from Under the Sea Diving. Upon acceptance of cancellation the following Refund Policy will be strictly enforced. Full Refund - More than 7 days notice (minus 13% tax/administrative fee) 50% Refund - more than 72 hours but less than 1 week notice (minus 13% tax/administrative fee) No Refund- Less than 72 hour notice. For this we apologize but this is indusrty standard and must be strictly adhered to as we are finacially impacted.
No, you don't have to be certified to go diving. You can participate in a program called Discover Scuba Diving (DSD), which is designed for beginners. It allows you to experience diving under the direct supervision of a professional instructor in a controlled environment, typically a pool or shallow water. This introductory experience helps you decide if you want to pursue full certification in the future.
Costa Rica is a privileged destination for divers, and the colorful marine landscapes formed by the coral reefs and the variety of fauna, can't be compared with any other diving destination in the world. You can see beautiful volcanic rocks, and of course, abundant aquatic life, including white-tip sharks, mantas, octopus, moray eels, eagle rays, whale sharks, and much more!

Yes you can. If you are only Open Water certified we do require a local dive before taking you to Bat Islands. Bat Islands can be somewhat challenging for entry level divers and we want to ensure you are not only prepared but have the best and safest experience.
No more than 4. Only unless traveling in a larger group. Then we can dive as a larger group with additional dive professionals as assistants.
